Aidhandy is built on a foundation of traveler safety and "Privacy by Design," ensuring that your journey is verified without compromising your personal booking security.
1. Information We Collect
- Provided by you: Name, email, phone number, flight details (Airline, Flight Number, Date), and travel preferences.
- Verification Data: To facilitate seat-proximity matching, we may collect booking metadata or a Passenger Name Record (PNR) code.
- Support & Profile: Messages sent to our support team and optional profile information (e.g., assistance needs).
- Payments: Limited billing info handled by payment processors (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
- Automatically: Device/browser info, IP address, timestamps, and usage analytics for performance and security.
- From partners: Limited data from seat-intelligence and flight-status APIs to confirm aircraft layouts and cabin configurations.
2. Data Safety & "Verify-and-Purge" Protocol
Because Aidhandy is not a travel agency, we do not need persistent access to your airline reservation. We follow strict protocols to protect your booking:
- Automated Purging: Once your seat proximity is verified via our seat-intelligence partners, sensitive booking codes (PNRs) are automatically purged or hashed from our active database.
- Read-Only Access: Our systems are designed to "read" flight data for verification only. We have no "write access" to airline systems and cannot modify, change, or cancel your original booking.
- Peer Privacy: Your matched companion sees your verified status and seat proximity, but they are never granted access to your PNR, email, or full booking metadata.
3. How We Use Information
- Seat Proximity Matching: We identify aircraft layouts to verify that travelers and companions are seated within a safe and accessible radius.
- Booking Verification: Details are used as a one-time "digital handshake" to confirm a live booking.
- Service Delivery: Facilitating communications between matched parties and providing pre-flight support.
- Security: Preventing fraud, securing accounts, and complying with legal obligations.
4. SMS and Email Communications
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive service-related SMS regarding bookings and account activity. Message frequency varies based on activity. Pre-flight reminders are typically sent 6 hours before departure. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance.
5. Sharing of Information
We disclose data only to trusted processors under contract:

8. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not directed to individuals under 18. If we learn a minor has provided data without parental oversight, we will delete it immediately.
